Atari Classics Evolved for PSP

Atari has just made available to the North American market the classics that made Atari what it’s know for.

Some of the best games of the past is now available for the PSP! Games such as Battlezone, Centipede, Millipede, Missile Command, Tempest, Lunar Lander, Super Breakout, Warlords, Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe and pong.

Besides the 11 classics mentioned, there are 40 more original titles that you can unlock.

There is nothing like the older games, which by todays standards might not cut it, but it holds onto our psyche and we can’t seem to let it go.

“Gamers today have gotten used to the increasing complexity of video games,” said Todd Slepian, Producer, Atari, Inc. “But it’s always nice to take a break from these monstrous titles and go back to the games that defined our childhoods. With so many fun classic games packed into such a small disc, it’s hard not to crack a little smile for days gone by.”

It’s time to take a look at Atari Classic Evolved and play your heart out.

Peggle your way to your iPod

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

You’ve ran a million miles trying to jog away the excess fat from your body and you need a break. You’re tired and you’ve seen all the videos and listened to all the music on your iPod.

Peggle

Its time to Peggle your way on your iPod!

You fire off your metallic silver ball from the top of your screen and let it bounce off of the orange and blue “pegs”. Clear all the orange “pegs” before you run out of balls.

Peggle offers 55 levels and available help from 10 teachers that guide you when you need help.

What Peggle offers:

  • 55 levels and 10 magic powers.
  • 75 Grand Master challanges.
  • Play friends on the computer in dual mode.
  • Save and replay your hottest shots.

The iPod version is available on the iTunes store for $4.99 and is available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish.

PopCap Games has utilized iPod’s clickwheel and it’s high-res display. The iPod version allows you to listen to your own personal music from your playlist while playing the game.

“The clickwheel input of the iPod is a natural fit for controlling Peggle, so we knew this adaptation of the game would be amazing,” said Jason Kapalka, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of PopCap. “And with the Duel Mode included, two players can pass the iPod back and forth while battling their way to Extreme Fever!”

Peggle is similar to another game where you bounce a ball and get rid of bricks but the co-founder of PopCap has a different opinion.  “But nobody can really be told what Peggle is like,” said Kapalka, “you just have to play it for yourself.”
