Ah Hellboy, the demon child that grows up to save the world from evil… What a twist!

Hellboy: Science of Evil - image from Kromestudios

Fans of Hellboy will be rewarded with the release of “Hellboy: Science of Evil” on the PSP, PS3, Xbox 360 and even on your mobile phone around June 0f 2008.

The initial date of the release was sometime in 2007, but Krome Studios shows ETA and no dates showing for the release, currently, even thought their trailer shows 2007…

The E3 2007 game trailer looks like it’s for the PSP. YouTube commentors pretty much think the graphics look like its more for the PS2.

It does look pretty bad on YouTube, but I think it’s more due to the compression of the video, either that or its a PSP game trailer. Check out this video from Krome’s webpage link, it’ll take you directly to the quicktime vid.

Sony denies PSP mobile phone

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

Sony reps are now stating that the Indian Economic Times misquoted Jim Ryans about the possibility of a PSP mobile phone.

What’s interesting is that Sony Computers Entertainment Europe is working with BT to provide a VOIP-based phone, text, and video services to the PSP devices for European market.

You can read more about it at Strategy Eye.

Of course, you can make VOIP calls with your PSP, right now, if this You Tube vid is correct…

Note that the call is made with the PSP but it uses your regular phone to make local or international calls.

PSP mobile phone a possibility

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

This PSP phone on YouTube, is it real or fake? Read what Jim Ryan of Sony Computer Entertainment has to say about the PSP phone, below.

The PSP is a wonderful portable gaming system and it’s even better with the new slimmer PSP model which allows you to watch UMD movies on the big screen, but the latest news is the possible release of a PSP phone!

In an interview with the India Times, Sony Computer Entertainment’s Jim Ryan said, “Such a mighty gadget is definately plausible.”

Jim also believes such a combination of the PSP with a Sony Ericsson wouldn’t be a problem. He says, “The Playstation is a proven success and so is Sony Ericsson. It is hugely intellectually seductive to have a console oriented phone.”

Back in May 31, 2007, Sony Ericsson had filed a patent for a PSP Mobile phone which was big in the media and blogging community. Read the india times article.

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men now mobile

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

Eidos has released the much anticipated IO game Kane & Lynch: Dead Men for your PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as for your mobile phone.

It’s timed with the release of the PS3 and Xbox 360 release.

The mobile game has 38 levels with 5 different scenarios. The mobile version is developed by the Danish company Kiloo, which uses a simple effective menu system to allow you to switch Kane or Lynch’s arsenal between shotguns and assault rifles. You can also switch between Kane or Lynch characters while playing the game.

The graphics of the mobile game is top notch for small mobile screens and the action scrolling is smooth.

Controlling either characters (Kane or Lynch) with your mobile phone keys looks like its easy to use and looks to be programmed for easy use on the mobile phones limitations.

It doesn’t seem like a demo version is available…
