Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

Warhawk for PS3

Its December and the new Warhawk Booster Pack - Operation: Omega Dawn should be out.

The features of the Booster Pack will redefine team tactics and introduce some new strategic elements.

The Pack will include six map configurations where warhawks can fly through in the night through the isolated factory world.

Players will be able to board the KT-424 Combat Dropship - it can transport up to seven troopers and a ground vehicle at one time, allowing for large scale invasions on enemy territories.

The Pack is available for download exclusively on the Playstation Store.

Key Features are:

• Invade Enemy Territories with the PMC-Dropship – Utilizing the tactical and physical capabilities of the new KT-424 Combat Dropship, players can swarm into enemy territories with a vengeance and dominate alongside their clan. Both an aircraft and a ground vehicle, the Dropship is the ultimate destructive weapon for massive assaults. Lined with powerful turrets for transported soldiers, the Dropship can carry up to seven troops and ground vehicles at one time.
• Dominate Opponents on a Brand New Battleground – Enter at your own risk into the new, night-time battlefield for Warhawk, Omega Factory. The largest map to date, the new environment leads troopers into an eerily dark factory world that includes six battlefield layouts and supports all of your favorite game modes from the original game.
• More Vertical Gameplay – Players’ fighting skills will be put to the ultimate test as the new map features more vertical gameplay, allowing for intense aerial combat via warhawks and the Dropship. The new map features environments that can only be accessed by airborne deployment such as raised platforms and rooftops of enormous war factories.
• Bonus Layouts for the Dropship – Experience total domination with bonus layouts that integrate the new KT-424 Combat Dropship into the 5 largest layouts from the core game for added replay value.

The cost for the pack is $7.99

Friday, November 30th, 2007

For those that might not know what Aion: The Tower of Eternity is, be prepared to be drooling.

This is the latest trailer from the G-star 2007 gaming exhibition in Korea.

Another Aion trailer from G-Star.

The Korean software company, NCsoft, known for their top notch MMORPG games is bringing one of the most anticipated games to the masses real soon.

The closed beta testing in the states will begin early 2008 and will be released later in the year.

The new and mysterious Spiritmaster is a wonderful addition to the game. The Spiritmaster’s ability to summon and control elemental spirits of Earth, Wind, Fire, & Water is very powerful and necessary to win battles against your foes.

The Earth spirits are strong in defense abilities.

The Fire spirit in ranged attacks.

The Water spirit for healing.

The Wind spirits for melee attacks.

You cannot control different elemental spirits at the same time.

For those that have read all the way to the bottom, here’s a treat, dancing Aion characters.

Alienware and Intel brings Hyperblast online

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Alienware and Intel are teaming up to bring an online game called Hyperblast to the netizens.

Hyperblast is a futuristic race track well players race against AI (artificial intelligence) drones. You can avoid the drones or kill them with weapons and weapons upgrade throughout the racecourses.

The courses become harder but the upgrades in the course are based on getting Intel tech upgrades in the game.

The game is reminiscent of the old 80s line based race games. The good thing about playing this game is that you have a chance to win Hyperblast t-shirts or if you finish the final track, you’ll be eligible to enter the grand prize draw to win a fully loaded Alienware Area-51 m9750 extreme gaming notebook with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor!

The bad part is that its only open to residents of European Union member states, Norway and Switzerland. The choice for a US Hyperblast page is listed in the game site but I am not sure why the US is not part of the contest.

The game prize will be held on Feb. 29, 2008.
