Play Rubiks Cube On iPhone With MiCube

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

Ah, the popular 3D Puzzle game from way back when… Rubiks Cube was an instant hit as soon as it came out; and thanks to the iPhone game MiCube, you can now play the popular game on your iPhone!

Like the long lines for Star Wars, iPhone, and the Porta Potty; it’s a it’s something that people needed to do, and do it right away!

I remember spending a lot of time trying to figure the puzzle out… I could only get one side of the wall completed, that is until I dropped the Rubiks Cube one day and part of the cube came dislodged. I took the cube apart and put it back together; all in it’s matching color glory!

Off course, repeated dismantling and reassembly of the cube had caused the cube parts to become really loose fitting and you could no longer play with it.

With MiCube, it’s a simple process. You get the option of the iPhone app scrambling the cube for you as well as unscrambling/resetting the cube back to it’s original state. The game also has a timer so you can see how long it took you to complete the cube or when you quit in frustration, like most of us did but even then we always go back to it.

Get MiCube while it’s still free from the iTunes store.

Scrabble 2007 Asia Edition

Scrabble 2007 Asia Edition

While other countries have had Scrabble for the DS , it is only recently that Hasbro and EA are bringing the game to the US for the PSP and DS.

The rights to Scrabble for North America is owned by Hasbro while Mattel owns the license for some other countries. One reason why Scrabble was available for Asia in 2007 and EA is now bringing out the game to the states with a partnership with Hasbro.

For us Scrabble fans in the states, the game will be out for the DS and PSP in March, or if you are an iPhone user, you can purchase Scrabble from Apple’s APP Store. SCRABBLE

KAMICRAZY Now on iTunes

Monday, December 29th, 2008

They say the game is like a mix between Lemmings, Enigmo, & Pitfall. To me, it reminds me of the old Jungle King (Jungle Hunt King).

I say the old game Jungle Hunt King is similar even though I can’t really stress why. The story line differs but the idea/feel seems the same to me. In KamiCrazy, the Kami soldiers have crash landed in the jungle and you must help them get back to their ship through dangerous terrains and even more dangerous natives.

The iPhones game is controlled by flicking, pushing, nudging, and swinging the soldiers to safety through 40 levels of puzzles.

You can click on the link below to purchase KamiCrazy for $3.99.

You can also check out the free version which has 8 levels for you to play.

Crazy Penguin Catapult

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

Just played a Crazy Penguin Catapult on my iPhone and I’m addicted to it. Launching Penguins from a catapult and sacrificing themselves by hurling through the air to hit the polar bears is quite an entertainment.

I can’t get enough of watching Penguins fly and hitting those wicked Coke drinking Polar Bears.

iPhone King of Portable Gaming Systems?

Sunday, December 7th, 2008

I mentioned in yesterday’s post, that Apple’s Apps are a huge success but a new article in TechNews mentions that Apple will soon dominate the portable gaming market.

One reason is that Apple’s iPhones games are being developed by many developers and that prices for games have come down drastically to a price point of $.99 to $1.99 for a game.

The downfall might be that most of the games developed for the iPhone aren’t that great and are being sold. The benefit is that the users can rate the apps and the good ones rise to the top. The other issue is that the ratings will also cause some pretty good apps to be less noticeable as other apps who have gotten higher ratings will blind side the app in question.

The one thing I do notice about my beloved Apple Apps is that I have too many of them on mine and having too many causes the iPhone to slow down somewhat but I can live with that till the next generation iPhone comes out.
