Star Trek Online on PS3?

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

Well, it’s a rumor but it sounds good.

The MMORPG Blog site mentions that Cryptic Studios - the developers for Champions Online and Star Trek Online for PC and the Xbox360 system might just be thinking about porting it for the PS3 as well.

The big talk is due to a Craigslist Job Posting by Cryptic Studios looking for a full time PS3 Engine Programmer on Nov. 14. The job is for “Extending existing systems to adapt to the ever-changing needs of a massively multiplayer game.”

As the blog mentions, the only multiplayer games that Cryptic Studios is working on are Champions and Star Trek.

So, will we see Star Trek on the PS3. I think it’s a good bet.
