Xbox Live Closed To Your Kind

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

When it comes right down to who can play what, who can go where, and who can make decisions for others, it shouldn’t be up to a minor few who want to harass a person or company to follow the wishes that they want to bully people into submission.

A woman on Xbox Live was harassed and followed by several other online players who would stalk her and follow her to games that she was playing and telling people to report her to Microsoft because she was offensive. Offensive for being a lesbian.

Another issue was for a man who used his real name, “Richard Gaywood” and was suspanded just because his name contained “Gay” in it.

Now, I just find that a simple solution would be to create a 18 and over online area for adults. It’s such a simple solution and one that has worked in the old days of BBS forums.

Xbox Live Half As Popular

Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

Microsoft has kept quite about how many people actually pay for Gold status on Xbox Live but somone more inclined on the accounting side has taken a look at projections and found that only half of the people who use Xbox Live actually pay for it.

I prefer the Playstation and Wii format of offering free online service for multi-player gaming but who knows how long before Sony and Nintendo follow suit. Microsoft is making money, and their statement is that they made 1 billion in profits from subscription fees.

Rock Band to offer Dr. Feelgood on Xbox Live and PS3

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

Yes I know the You Tube vid is for Guiter Hero but its what I could find for Dr. Feelgood.

The game for Rock Band will be offered for Xbox Live users starting on Oct. 14, 2008 while PS3 users will find it available on the PlayStation Network on Oct. 16, 2008.

The entire Dr. Feelgood album by Motley Crue will be available for download at $1.99 per song or $20.00 for the entire album.

Dr. Feelgood album has:

  • T.N.T. (Terror ‘N Tinseltown)
  • Time for Change
  • Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)
  • Same Ol’ Situation (S.O.S.)
  • Rattlesnake Shake
  • She Goes Down
  • Kickstart My Heart
  • Without You
  • Slice of Your Pie
  • Sticky Sweet
  • Dr. Feelgood

A little fun history about Dr. Feelgood; it was released in 1989 and was the album’s first single. It is the only Gold single for Motley Crue in the U.S. Like the stereotype/stigma of rockers and drugs, the song fits a game about rockers. The song is about a drug dealer named Jimmy in Hollywood.
